Hollywood Undead: Notes from the Underground

I just wanted to put up a little review, this is just what I personally thought of the album.

I walked into this album with an open mind, I thought I was prepared for whatever they had to throw at me.

The first song, Dead Bite, was obviously an attempt to jump in on the worlds current zombie craze. It didn’t sound anything like the old HU, but I thought it was interesting, I liked that they were trying out new things. The song, however, was a poor introduction to the album. (2/5)

The next song, From the Ground, starts out kind of slow, I was expecting something like Pour Me, then it sped up and reminded me of Tendencies but with a slow flowing chorus, I really liked this song, one of my favorites on the album. (5/5)

The next song, Another Way Out, another song with the zombie theme. The song was decent, the chorus wasn’t as exciting as I was hoping. (3/5)

Track four, Lion, yet another one that had this “zombie” theme, was a bit slower then the rest, but I wasn’t very impressed. (2/5)

I liked the next one called We Are, had a bit of meaning to it but parts of it sounded like they were reusing old lyrics.  (4/5)

Pigskin, sounded nothing like HU in the beginning, I didn’t think it was good. (2/5)

Rain was slower then the rest and a nice change of pace, however it couldn’t compare to Pour Me, still a decent slow song if you’re in the mood. (3/5)

Kill Everyone combined an old sound with their new sound, just sounded like a fill-in song though to cover their holes in the album. (2/5)

Believe was a good song, was a little slow, had a chorus you could kinda sing along to and had some emotion to it. (4/5)

Up In Smoke I think was an attempt to make another “party” song like No. 5 and Comin’ In Hot, but like the song, it went up in smoke. (2/5)

Outside really impressed me, the singing in it was unlike they’ve ever made before, then had some rap lyrics scattered within it. More songs like this, and this album would’ve been a winner. (5/5)

Medicine was a disappointing step down from the previous song, not very catchy, beat didn’t draw my attention very well either (2/5)

One More Bottle, not a very strong song, a more mellow background music kinda party song I suppose. (2/5)

Delish, a not so great ending to a not so great album. (3/5)

Overall Album rating: 3/5

In a bathtub.

With a toaster.
